Your Questions, Answered
Frequently Asked Questions
If your energy, sleep, hormones, or weight feel off, and you are tired of being told everything looks normal, this is the work Kelly does. Below are the questions women ask most before they begin, from how the process works to testing, cost, and what to expect, so you can see how Hive Wellness works and whether it is right for you.

Getting Started
How do I get started with Hive Wellness?
The first step is a free call with Kelly, where you can share what is going on in your body and ask whatever is on your mind. If it feels like a fit, you begin with your initial assessment and plan. You can book your call on the Get Started page.
Who does Kelly work with, and is this right for me?
Kelly works with women through seasons of change, from fertility and perimenopause to menopause and the years beyond. If your energy, sleep, weight, mood, hormones, or digestion feel off and you want to understand what your body is actually telling you, this is the work she does. You can read more on the About and Approach pages.
Do you work with clients virtually, and where are you located?
Both. Kelly sees clients virtually and works with women in nearly every state, so you can partner with her from almost anywhere. She also offers in-person visits at her office in New Braunfels, Texas. Most of her clients work with her virtually, and you can choose whichever fits your life when you get started. The only exceptions are Alabama and South Dakota, where Kelly is not able to practice, since those states do not currently recognize the Certified Nutrition Specialist credential.
Investment & Payment
How much does it cost to work with Kelly?
Kelly offers two ways to work together, Bloom and Flourish, each a six-month partnership that begins with your deep dive first month and continues with ongoing care from there. Your first month, your testing recommendations, and your personalized plan are all part of that six-month investment, with testing paid separately. After six months, your care continues month to month. You can see both options and current pricing on the How It Works page.
What happens in the first month?
Your first month is your deep dive. Kelly reviews your intake and any labs you already have, meets you for an intake session of up to 90 minutes, recommends your functional testing, and builds your personalized plan. She walks you through it in a big-picture review session, then meets you each week for the rest of the month as you put it into practice. It is the most hands-on stretch of your care, and it is included in your six-month partnership, not billed separately. You can see the full breakdown on the How It Works page.
Can I change my level of support later?
Yes. You can move between Bloom and Flourish as your needs change, and Kelly guides that shift so your care always matches where you actually are.
Why is it a six-month commitment?
Because real change takes time. Your body needs time to respond, and your plan needs time to be adjusted as it does. Six months is the space those shifts need to take root, and it is where your foundation gets built. Many women continue past it because they keep seeing progress, and the longer you stay with it, the further you go. After your first six months, your care continues month to month for as long as it serves you.
How often will I get a progress report?
You receive a written Quarterly Progress Report every three months, so your six-month partnership includes two, and each additional quarter adds one. Each report captures what has shifted, what your body is showing, and where your care is headed next, so you can see your progress over time and share it with your physician if you would like.
Do you take insurance?
No. Hive Wellness is a private pay practice, so Kelly does not bill insurance. This lets her spend real time with you and build care around your body rather than around what a plan will cover.
What payment options do you offer?
You can pay by credit card, and monthly payment plans are available so the investment can fit your life. The details for each option are part of your plan, and you can see how the structure works on the How It Works page.
What does working with Kelly actually look like?
It is a guided, ongoing process, not a one-time appointment. You start with a deep-dive assessment and functional testing, then Kelly builds your personalized plan and walks through it with you. From there, you meet regularly so the plan can adjust as your body responds. The full process is laid out on the How It Works page.
How long before I start to feel better?
Many women begin to feel real shifts within the first few months, though the honest answer is that true change takes time. Your body takes time to heal and adjust, and your health is not something you fix once and forget. It is something you nurture, recalibrate, and grow over time, which is exactly why the work continues past your initial Hive Wellness Plan.
What is the time commitment?
Most women meet with Kelly often in the first month to get the plan in motion, then move to regular sessions with support in between. Your care unfolds over six months, because your body needs time to respond and your plan needs time to be adjusted as it does. You will always know what to expect before you begin.
Is this just a meal plan?
No, and that is the opposite of how Kelly works. This is not a strict diet or a one-size plan to follow. It is about your whole pattern of eating and living, and understanding what your body needs so you can feel like yourself again. Food is part of it, but it was never only about food.
Testing, Supplements & Your Care
How does testing work?
Kelly partners with Rupa Health and Oxford Biomedical, which make functional lab testing simple to order and complete, often from the comfort of home. After your assessment, she recommends the tests that fit what your body is showing, you complete them through her Rupa Health portal, and then you review the results together so they actually make sense. Testing is how Kelly works from real data instead of guessing.
What kind of testing do you recommend?
It depends on you, but the testing Kelly recommends most often includes hormone testing, microbiome and gut testing, micronutrient and nutrient panels, metabolic and cardiometabolic testing, allergy and sensitivity testing, and a customized weight-related panel. Panels like the DUTCH test for hormones and the GI Map for gut health are common starting points. The right tests are always chosen for your body, not a standard checklist.
Is testing included in my plan, and who pays for it?
Testing is a separate cost you pay directly to the provider, and Kelly always talks you through what she recommends and why before anything is ordered. Because the right tests are specific to you, the cost varies. Kelly recommends and interprets your testing as part of your care, and it may be revisited the longer you work together. You can see how testing fits the overall structure on the How It Works page.
Are supplements included?
Your personalized supplement protocol is part of your plan, and the supplements themselves are purchased separately. Kelly points you to professional-grade products with a direct link to exactly what to take, and when it fits, she can build you personalized supplement packs. Either way, you are never guessing or buying things your body does not need.
Do you prescribe or manage hormones, or replace my doctor?
Kelly does not prescribe medication or hormones herself, and she does not replace your doctor. As a Certified Nutrition Specialist, she supports your body through nutrition, testing, and lifestyle so the whole picture is addressed, and she works alongside your medical care. When hormones or peptides could help, she can refer you to trusted providers, physician-overseen companies that evaluate and prescribe, so that support is easy to access if you need it. Many women see Kelly and their physician at the same time as a team.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed. You can start working with Kelly directly by booking your first call on the Get Started page.
