Your Health Information and Confidentiality

Kelly takes the privacy of your health information seriously and handles it with care, consistent with applicable state and federal privacy laws, including Texas law. This website is not a secure platform for sharing sensitive medical or health information. When you first reach out, please keep your message general and leave out specific medical or symptom detail. Once you become a client, your detailed health intake and clinical communication happen inside a secure, private client platform, not through this website, regular email, or text.

Kelly Hyde, MS, CNS is a Certified Nutrition Specialist, not a physician. The information shared on this website, in any free resource, and throughout your work with Hive Wellness is for educational and informational purposes and is meant to support your health, not to replace care from your doctor or another licensed medical provider. Nothing here is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and nothing on this website creates a medical provider and patient relationship.

Always talk with your physician or qualified health provider before making changes to your diet, supplements, medications, or lifestyle, and never disregard or delay medical advice because of something you read here or discuss in a session. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or 911 right away.

Functional lab testing offered through Hive Wellness is used to inform your nutrition and lifestyle recommendations and is not a substitute for diagnostic testing ordered by your physician. Any supplements that may be recommended have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Working Together Across States

Kelly is based in Texas and works with clients across the United States. Because nutrition practice laws differ from state to state, services for clients outside of Texas are provided as nutrition education and consulting within the scope of Kelly's certification. Your work with Hive Wellness does not establish care with a licensed provider in your own state and is not a replacement for the medical care you receive where you live.

Payment and Fees

Hive Wellness is a private-pay practice and does not bill health insurance. Payment is due at the time of service or according to the payment schedule provided to you when you begin. Accepted methods include major credit and debit cards (a 3 percent processing fee applies to credit card payments), ACH bank transfer, and HSA or FSA cards where your plan allows. Payment plans may be available for certain packages.

Whether HSA or FSA funds can be used depends on your individual plan and administrator. Documentation such as a receipt or superbill can be provided on request, though reimbursement is never guaranteed. Refund, cancellation, and rescheduling terms are described in the agreement you receive when you begin working together.

Functional Lab Testing

Some services include or recommend functional lab testing performed by independent third-party laboratories. Kelly interprets your results and uses them to shape your nutrition, supplement, and lifestyle recommendations. When testing is part of your care, the cost is billed as a separate testing fee by the testing company that is shared with you in advance. Testing through Hive Wellness supports your nutrition and wellness plan and does not replace diagnostic testing ordered by your physician.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the federal No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of services from a practice that does not bill your health insurance. Because Hive Wellness is a private-pay practice, you may request a Good Faith Estimate in writing before services begin or at the time you schedule, and one will be provided.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill. You can learn more about your rights under the No Surprises Act at www.cms.gov/nosurprises or by calling 1-800-985-3059. A Good Faith Estimate is an estimate only. It is not a contract and does not require you to receive services.
